Using the traditional painting technique of tempera on panel, this certified religious icon was made in the summer of 2012 in Bulgaria and is signed by the artist. The icon was made from a 300-year-old oak-tree found in Arbanasy, a village located nearby the city of Veliko Turnovo. (See interesting facts below).
The way the icon hangs is unique and was practiced in ancient times. On the back of the icon a small hole is carved. Then a steel cord is mounted to hold it.
