The uniqueness of the Cross is: what the content is made from, how it was made, and the purpose it was made for at this time.  The Cross is made from steer bull tendon (sinew). Brass Bread Blessing Cross
  This antique Cross date is from the 1800’s. In fact, on the bottom left side of the back of the Cross it is written 1874, which identifies the exact year Cross was made. The material used for making the Cross is brass. These types of Crosses were used by the priests of the Eastern Orthodox church to make a mark on the bread before baked (bless the bread) specifically baked for Easter. Orthodox Cross Crucifixion
  This is a typical Eastern Orthodox Cross Crucifixion made in a traditional Byzantine style (egg tempera painted over gold leaf, applied to a wooden panel), which was practiced between the third and thirteenth centuries. The Cross is certified; it was made in the summer of 2007 in Bulgaria and is signed by the artist.     Interesting facts:  The artist used 80-year-old cherry tree.
